Online Scrapbook

A photo taken at Topkapi Palace. I’ll post the rest soon. I have to cram all the posts before tomorrow because we’re going to Greece!
My Nautical Bucket List

I have a love affair with the ocean and I have a list of nautical places I need to explore after I graduate. Whenever I need inspiration for an illustration, I usually browse through photos of the following places to calm my mind.

——

Rio Cano Cristales

This is probably the most psychedelic river in the world. You have to fly cross-country and hike through miles of jungle to get there, but I think it’s worth it! It looks gorgeous.

Bolivian Salt Flats

This place is called the border between Heaven and Earth. It’s an oceanic infinity.

Antarctica

This is my ultimate dream. When I’m lying on my deathbed, I better be reminiscing about ice caps, the biting cold, and the beautiful winterscapes.

Santorini, Greece

Yangtze River

I’ve seen documentaries about dam projects that might swell up the river, so hopefully I still get to see it in pristine conditions.

Items I’ve crossed off:

The Dead Sea

We were actually on the Jordanian side.

Ras Abu Galum, Egypt

I had to take a very uncomfortable 2-hour camel ride but it was worth it — 3 days of sleeping underneath a desert sky but right next to the ocean. The place also had the best coral reefs I have ever seen in my life.

Donsol (Whale Sharks)

My mother’s family is from Bicol, so this was pretty easy. It was the best experience ever. I’ve never felt so tiny in my life!

Some day, I’ll see all the uncrossed items. Wish me luck!

* For some reason, I can’t get the reading break to work… so I’m sorry if this post kills your dash. Lovely photos, though!
